S.Coups (SEVENTEEN) exempt from military service – K-GEN

S.Coups of SEVENTEEN was exempted from military service.

This March 1st, PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced the SEVENTEEN member's military exemption, due to his knee injury for which he had surgery last year.

The agency announced:

“Due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint, S.Coups underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery. Because it was a major surgery, he has been undergoing physical rehabilitation therapy for a long time, from last year until now.

As a result, he was classified as grade 5 for military service. »

Under South Korea's conscription system, men classified as grade 5 are exempt from mandatory peacetime military service. In the event of war, they are required to carry out work supporting the military.

S.Coups is therefore officially exempt from military service.
